The Position
As the Senior HR Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the daily operations of both the global human resources team and our German operations. Serving as the bridge between our global HR initiatives and the specific needs of our German branch, you will oversee the seamless execution of all HR and administrative functions. Reporting directly to the Chief People Officer, you will spearhead efforts to streamline processes and enhance operational efficiency.


As part of your responsibilities, you will provide extensive support across global and German HR functions, fostering close collaboration with employees worldwide to deliver high-quality HR services and assistance. Your expertise and leadership will be instrumental in ensuring that our HR operations meet the needs of our diverse workforce and contribute to our overall success.

Responsibilities

  • Orchestrating and overseeing the onboarding process for new hires, collaborating closely with the hiring team to facilitate seamless integration, including handling paperwork, conducting orientations, and coordinating training initiatives.
  • Serving as a primary point of contact for employees regarding HR-related inquiries, providing guidance, support, and resolution for various concerns, and ensuring effective communication channels are maintained.
  • Assisting in conflict resolution and disciplinary proceedings when necessary, applying sound judgment and adherence to company policies and legal regulations.
  • Managing diverse administrative tasks encompassing the maintenance of comprehensive employee records, upkeep of HR databases, and meticulous handling of paperwork pertaining to benefits, payroll, and leave management.
  • Handling communication, workflow and approval of payroll in collaboration with our global payroll partners.
  • Ensuring strict adherence to labour laws, company policies, and regulatory requirements governing employment practices in Germany, actively monitoring legal developments and updating policies and procedures accordingly to maintain compliance.
  • In collaboration with functional managers, coordinating employee training and development endeavors, meticulously tracking progress to ensure alignment with job specifications and individual career progression objectives.
  • Contributing to the performance appraisal process by orchestrating scheduling logistics, collating feedback, and meticulously documenting performance evaluations.
  • Spearheading the organization of employee-centric events, activities, and initiatives aimed at fostering a positive work culture and enhancing employee engagement.
  • Engaging in strategic HR projects and initiatives, including but not limited to diversity and inclusion programs, and spearheading continuous HR process improvements to optimize operational efficiency and employee satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.
  • Specialized coursework or training in German labor law and employment regulations is an advantage.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources, with a focus on managing HR functions within a global context, preferably including exposure to German labor law and compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in problem-solving, with the ability to analyze complex HR issues, identify legal implications, and develop effective strategies and solutions in alignment with labor regulations.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, essential for managing HR processes and documentation in compliance with labor law standards and procedural requirements.
  • Proven capability to thrive in high-pressure environments and foster a collaborative team-building culture, leveraging strong interpersonal skills to facilitate effective communication and collaboration across diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Track record of achieving results-driven outcomes, consistently meeting tight deadlines and performance targets while upholding the highest standards of quality and compliance with legal and regulatory mandates.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities in both German and English languages, enabling clear and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders across global operations and ensuring compliance with language requirements in legal documentation and communications.
  • Strong presentation skills.
